Green BayWisconsin

A small Great Lakes city with an outsized football story, a downtown riverwalk, vintage rides, wetland trails, rail history, and fish-fry evenings.

Green Bay beyond kickoff

Green Bay has three distinct visitor districts

The Lambeau Field district sits southwest of downtown. CityDeck, Broadway, and downtown restaurants gather along the Fox River; Bay Beach and the Wildlife Sanctuary lie northeast near the bay. Visit each area as a separate part of the weekend.

Choose the weekend

Match Green Bay to the date and the people traveling

A Packers home game changes hotel demand, street traffic, and the time visitors should reserve for Lambeau. On a non-game weekend, stadium tours and the Packers Hall of Fame can share a day with Titletown or the Fox River. Families can build a day around Bay Beach, the Wildlife Sanctuary, and one indoor museum.

A Packers home-game weekend

Reserve most of game day for the stadium district. Use Friday evening for CityDeck or Broadway, and leave Sunday morning for the National Railroad Museum or a short downtown walk. A room near Lambeau shortens the postgame return; downtown adds more restaurants and access to free game-day buses.

Football without a game ticket

Combine a scheduled stadium tour with the Packers Hall of Fame, then cross Armed Forces Drive for Titletown. That leaves a full second day for the Fox River, the National Railroad Museum, or the Bay Beach pair instead of building the trip around kickoff.

A family weekend in warm weather

Put Bay Beach Amusement Park and the Wildlife Sanctuary on the same day because they share the northeast side. Add the Children’s Museum of Green Bay or the National Railroad Museum as the indoor choice, then use CityDeck for an easy evening walk.

A cold-weather or museum weekend

Start with the Hall of Fame, Neville Public Museum, or the National Railroad Museum and keep outdoor stops short. Titletown and CityDeck still work between indoor visits when conditions cooperate, while downtown keeps dinner close to the final stop.

Three ways into Green Bay

Start with the experience that brought you north

After the crowd

Downtown and Broadway keep the evening beside the Fox River

The Fox River, CityDeck, red-brick commercial blocks, breweries, pubs, and restaurants keep Green Bay from becoming a stadium parking lot with a city attached. Stay downtown for a walk after dinner; stay near Lambeau for the shortest return after a game.
